Late last term (in skills for life), we have been talking about friendship. To show friendship we watched the movie “Cars” to see how Lightning McQueen progress his friendship skills.

In the first part of the movie, he was a very popular racing car and then he ended up in Radiator Springs where he became an average car. Lightning thinks that being popular means you have lots of friends but after being in Radiator Springs for awhile he realises that he only had a couple.

During his visit he also realised that to be a friend you have to treat everyone with respect so that’s what he does. Meeting Mator, Sally and Doc Lighting  became a better friend by being nice and treating them with respect.

To be a friend I think you have to have these five characteristics:-

Funny

Kind

Loyal

Reliable

and caring.

One of my best friends is Rachel and she is a good friend because she is all the characteristics above and more! I know that I can reli on her to help me, she treats me with respect and I know that I can trust her with ALL my secrets. I am lucky to have such a trustworthy friend like Rachel.

  • This term we have to choose a a certain thing we have to this term and I chose to take risks.

With taking risks you have to choose three things you want to do. The choices were:-

  • Glogster
  • Dance animation (Pivot)
  • Storybook
  • Stop motion
  • Passion blog
  • Video safety
  • Scratch game

And make up your own.

I chose to do Glogster, storybook and scratch game.

I have 3-4 weeks to finish every task so WISH ME LUCK!!!!

Last week I finished reading  ”Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” and it was really good!

It was very detailed but really different to the movie. The only different things in the movie were hair colour, eye colour, different scenes and little things like; you know.

The book was really good and I would give it 7/10!

A couple of weeks ago we had parent teacher. My parents didn’t come in but they got my report the next day.

On my report it was all goods and excellent and the comments were GREAT! I can’t really remember what the comments said but they were all possitive!

I hope the other people in 6/7 got good comments to!

Lots of people use Google as a search engine but here are a few good links that I like:-

Yippy- Yippy shows you top hits and it’s fast.

Hotbot- Hotbot seaches using Yahoo! IyGO and MSN.

Bing- Bing narrows it down and gives you small amounts of results.

If you use these I hope they can be of use to you!

Hello Everyone!

This term my class have started doing drama and so far it’s AWESOME!!! We started doing a play on Thursday called “A Scary Plane Ride” and I was Cassie Fearful (I think that was my last name) the flight attendant. One of the boys in my class was called Wally Wet Pants!

Today we had to write down some tongue twisters “like Irish wrist watch” and then we had to make up our own. Mine was: Shepherds shear Shaun the Sheep (pretty good eh?).

On Friday after school I went shopping with my mum and my nan to buy a Pandora bracelet for my birthday.

The bracelet is 18cm’s and it’s silver.

The charms on it are:-

a teapot

a “G”

and a pile of books.

I can’t wait to get it!!!

On the 5th of March the 6/7′s all went to camp at Woodfield Lodge. It was awesome and I liked my chosen cabin buddies. The food was alright but I loved the activities (which was: orienteering, bushwalking, flying foxes, building shelters, billy carts and trampolines)!

I got to know more about my friends and made some new ones.

Thankyou to the teachers for the food and the camp leaders for the activities.
